The Erotica Diet?

So. I am looking for something to read and trolling the RT Book Reviews (pg5) for new-to-me authors and I happened upon Charlotte Featherstone. The name sounds totally nom de plum-ish but I won’t say it because I was wrong-as-hell on Thea Devine and had to eat my words right there in front of her so I’m not going there again. But Shiloh Walker? Not her real name. Eva Gale, Dakota Cassidy, Selah March … not their real names.

Where was I?

*pondering*

Something to read. Anyway. I went to Kindle to read up on her soon-to-be-released 4 1/2 star book and here is the blurb:

Review
.
“Dr. Traver doesn’t just instruct readers on how to achieve happier, healthier lives, she provides compelling evidence for why her methods work.” — Dr. Mark Hyman, bestselling author of The UltraMind Solution and UltraMetabolism
.
“Dr. Traver’s The Program is opening the next frontier of medicine with its smart, simple, and science-based approach to protecting your health.” — Bradley A. Perkins, M.D., executive vice president for strategy and innovation at Vanguard Health Systems
.
“I’ve seen our employees lose 40+ pounds, get off their blood pressure and diabetes medications, figure out their sleep problems, reduce stress, and more. The Program really works!” — Dagan McLennan, RN, Wellness Center, Google
.
“Simply wonderful. Reading The Program somehow reminded me of reading Shakespeare. Each page is so laden with verities that a slow read is mandated. So, read slow and thrive.” — Walter M. Bortz II, M.D., bestselling author of Dare to Be 100 and We Live Too Short and Die Too Long
.
“This is a tipping point book: it shows us how to get beyond sick care to doable healthy living.” — Bob Johansen, bestselling author of Get There Early and Leaders Make the Future
.
“This no-nonsense, evidence-based approach can transform lives by teaching people how to do what they know they should, but is so increasingly difficult to practice in the modern world.” — J. Nick Baird, M.D., CEO, Alliance to Make US Healthiest
.
“Wow! What an undertaking! The Program provides just the right mix of what, why, and how for readers interested in improving their health and well-being.” — Cathy Heaney, Ph.D., Stanford Prevention and Research Center

Product Description
.
In Victorian England vice of every kind can be purchased, and Matthew, the Earl of Wallingford, makes certain he avails himself of every possible pleasure. Bored and jaded, he is as well-known for his coldness as for his licentious affairs with beautiful women.
.
While these numerous dalliances fulfill Matthew’s every physical need, they secretly leave him numb and emotionally void. Until one night when he finds himself beaten, eyes bandaged and in the care of a nurse with the voice of an angel—and a gentle touch that soothes the darkness in him and makes him yearn for more.
.
Yet Jane Rankin is a lowly nurse, considered shy and plain by most. There is no place for her amongst the lords and ladies of the aristocracy—despite Matthew’s growing craving for the fire that burns behind her earnest facade. And then there is Matthew’s secret. A secret so humiliating and scandalous it could destroy everyone he loves. A sin, he fears, not even the love of a good woman can take away…

At first I was all like “Dr. Traver doesn’t just instruct readers on how to achieve happier, healthier lives, she provides compelling evidence for why her methods work” – oh. Ok. But it’s Erotica. But that could work – but – it’s not — it’s not “self-help” Erotica — is it? Then I read the rest and then the summary and realized – one of these things is not like the other.

All I know is, if this erotica can help me lose 40 pounds I’m buying it. Just say’n.
